“Without data, there’s no Mobility-as-a-Service.”

In our latest instalment of the TX Podcast, we talk to Krista Huhtala-Jenks, Head of Ecosystem & Sustainability at the world’s first Mobility-as-a-Service operator MaaS Global and VP of the MaaS Alliance.

MaaS Global is the company behind the Whim app, which is already live in a number of cities and regions across Europe, including Helsinki, Turku, Antwerp, West Midlands and Vienna. They aim to provide their customers with the sustainable freedom of mobility. Giving them easy access to any of the mobility services that they need through all-encompassing mobility subscriptions.

In this episode we delve into the future direction of the MaaS industry and the role of data. We consider issues of ownership of the data produced by customers and transparency and visibility around what their data is used for. We also discuss how technologies like the Streamr Technology Stack can play a role in the MaaS industry by incentivising the end customers to share their data for social good.

You can also find this episode on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
